Town reminding residents of rules about setting off fireworks

With Victoria Day weekend on the horizon, the Town of St. Marys is reminding residents of the rules around fireworks.

In St. Marys, the sale and use of consumer fireworks is governed by By-law 57-2021, which states:

  • Consumer fireworks can be set off on Victoria Day, Canada Day and for two days before and after each
  • Consumer fireworks can be sold and purchased for 10 days prior to Victoria Day and Canada Day
  • Consumer fireworks can only be set off between dusk and 11:00 p.m. on these days

St. Marys welcomes visitors with new directional signage

The Town of St. Marys is making it easier to find local amenities with the installation of 70 new directional signs. It’s all part of the municipality’s Signage and Wayfinding Strategy, a multi-year project led by its Tourism and Economic Development department.

St. Marys Fire Department is holding a Firefighter Recruit Open House on June 13

This May the St. Marys Fire Department is pleased to announce Josh Becker as its “Firefighter of the Month”.

The Town of St. Marys will be performing spring water main and hydrant flushing from April 29 to May 24, 2024.
